2. I wonder how this ability relates to clairvoyance? Seems like something anyone can learn to do, in contrast. I wonder how common clairvoyance is? Seems like a very useful ability to have around. Maybe the base ability to sense another’s chi is more common, but of those people, most have to be practically touching the source / actively concentrating. Like maybe they sense it from the effect it has on their own, rather than sensing it directly? Whatever that means. I dunno, I’m just kinda wandering here.
3. Hatchet Man looks like one of those toys that you squeeze and then his eyes/tongue pop out.
Heh, I probably need to explain it better, but what Nem is doing here is using her own chi to augment her senses to the point where she can keep up with Hatchet Man’s movements. Clairvoyants have the passive ability to detect people around them. You have to be born with that ability, it can’t be learned. As for the rarity, I’d say maybe like 1 in 10 people, it’s not that rare but also not super common. We’ll be meeting some more characters with that ability soon.
Oh, so like hyperawareness?
So if someone who already had sharp senses were to use this trick, then they’d be, well, even sharper!
